Note that there are other things besides CRL checking per se that I'd like to see in NSS. There seem to be a lot of scenarios where we'd like to have certain things happen from a policy point of view, but we'd need enhancements to NSS (or PSM) to implement them from a technical point of view. As I written before many times, I'd be happy to work to get Mozilla Foundation funding for NSS/PSM development, provided that there are people who can do the work.
