One doubt, how are the new certificates included in Firefox? With new
releases? Are they updated from a server?
The approved CA roots are hard coded into a library which is part of the
NSS library. Updates of the NSS library are shipped with updated
versions of Firefox from time to time, which means that it doesn't
require a major release like the upcoming version 3 for CAs to include
new CAs. but also release updates have many times new CAs included.
