OK, solved one problem...The download link referrers to a https URL, 
which obviously pops up the "unknown authority" dialog first. I suggest 
to change the links to regular http which allows to examine the CA 
certificate in question without having to accept the server certificate 
first. Sorry about the confusion concerning that, but I really thought 
I'm presented with a server certificate instead of a root cert ;-)

However all other questions from the previous post are nevertheless 
still valid.
