In general I prefer using spec terminology, but in this specific case I
don’t really like either extent/measure (too foreign, not obvious which
is which) not logical-width/logical-height (too "physical-like").
Actually I think this is worth changing the spec:

We’ll see what people think of it.
Let’s bikeshed some more!
The CSS WG has resolved to change measure and extent to inline-something
and block-something, where "something" is to be determined. (Yeah, I
know. We’re good at making this kind of half-decision.) Some options
are: size, length, dimension, extent, breadth, ...
Some people said that the "size" of a CSS box (a two-dimensional thing)
is supposed to be two-dimensional, so inline-size and block-size (each
referring to a one-dimensional thing) are inappropriate. Others feel
that "size" is general enough.
What color do *you* want to paint this shed?
(This is not the name of properties, keywords, or anything that affects
web-compatibility. But these terms will be used all over CSS layout
specs, and it would help if we had the same names in our APIs.)
