Gentoo has an official portage overlay for rust with the latest stuff available: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo-rust It should be trivial for them to move the packages from there into the mainline portage if firefox needs them as a dependency. Also keep in mind that by default only Firefox ESR is flagged as stable on Gentoo. Recent versions of Firefox are always available but the user needs to explicitly unmask them. Gabriele
