I did detailed measurements of my new machine here: https://blog.mozilla.org/nnethercote/2013/09/12/bleg-for-a-new-machine-2/. The old machine (an i7-2600) took ~48s. Haswell chips are pretty nice, in my experience. Using clang instead of GCC also produces big wins -- the stock Ubuntu 13.04 version of clang is *much* faster than the stock GCC.
