I just tried this on my fast new Linux machine. - A |--enable-tests --enable-debug build| with -j8 improved from 15m48s to 13m30s, a 1.17x improvement. - A |--enable-test --enable-debug --enable-optimize='-O0'| build with -j8 went from 12m57s to 11m15s, a 1.15x improvement.
