Thanks for the bug report. Please reboot again and while the problem is happening run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt and attach the resulting text file here. It may also pay to change the cable in case the problem relates to https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/the-display-bug-we-cant-fix ** Tags added: multimonitor nvidia ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2117418 Title: Monitor doesn't show any output after boot Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: One of my monitors does not show the screen when Ubuntu boots, like the other monitors do, it just hangs on a black screen like it is not receiving any input. The only workarounds I have found so far are: 1. Unplug and re-plug the monitor 2. Turn the monitor off in the display settings, apply and keep changes, then turn it back on This did not exist on 24.04 or 24.10, but I have reproduced in 25.04 and 25.10. The monitor is an "Acer Nitro 34" 21:9 Curved UWQHD", and it works fine on Windows 11 as well, the problem appears to be exclusive to the newer Ubuntu.
