You will need to choose one: "Active Screen Edges" or "Enhanced Tiling".
If the former is preferred then you can disable the latter with:

  gnome-extensions disable tiling-assist...@ubuntu.com

Title:
Active Screen Edges setting resets after reboot or during usage on
  Ubuntu 25.04

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
Hello! I installed Ubuntu 25.04 on another laptop and noticed that the Active
Screen Edges toggle under Settings > Multitasking turns off after a reboot.
It sometimes even disables itself during normal usage, without a restart.
When I manually enable it, it works fine — but it doesn’t stay enabled.

Let me know if I can help with logs or further testing. Thanks!
