I'm not directly familiar with grey-enabled but the usual explanation is
that some extension crashed. Please start by deleting all local
extensions:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
rm -rf extensions
and then log in again. Does the bug still occur?

Title:
Dock disappears after lock & unlock
Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
It's essentially this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1796265
When I lock my Ubuntu (Super+L) and then unlock it, all extensions
except AppIndicators are "grey enabled". Not disabled, but grey.
I have a fairly standard Ubuntu fresh install (6 days old) and I did
nothing fancy except the following:
```
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences focus-new-windows 'smart'
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences auto-raise 'true'
```
