Public bug reported: It's essentially this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1796265
When I lock my Ubuntu (Super+L) and then unlock it, all extensions except AppIndicators are "grey enabled". Not disabled, but grey. I have a fairly standard Ubuntu fresh install (6 days old) and I did nothing fancy except the following: ``` gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences focus-new-windows 'smart' gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences auto-raise 'true' ``` ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: gnome-shell 46.0-0ubuntu6~24.04.8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.11.0-25.25~24.04.1-generic 6.11.11 Uname: Linux 6.11.0-25-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.5 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Fri May 9 10:51:06 2025 DisplayManager: gdm3 InstallationDate: Installed on 2025-05-03 (6 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20250215) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 PATH=(custom, no user) SHELL=/bin/bash TERM=xterm-256color XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> RelatedPackageVersions: mutter-common 46.2-1ubuntu0.24.04.8 SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug noble wayland-session ** Attachment added: "Pasted image.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2110281/+attachment/5876638/+files/Pasted%20image.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2110281 Title: Dock disappears after lock & unlock Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: It's essentially this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1796265 When I lock my Ubuntu (Super+L) and then unlock it, all extensions except AppIndicators are "grey enabled".
