'screen' is a terminal multiplexer and a package which you do not have 
installed so
cannot be the errant package.

I'm moving this to the Settings application (gnome-control-center) so that your 
problem
is brought to the attention of Ubuntu's Desktop team.

Please confirm that this is still an issue and clarify that you are still using
Ubuntu 22.04 as the bug description mentions (incorrectly) Ubuntu 24.04.5 which
does not yet exist.

  Screen Display in settings doesn't work

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  In Ubuntu 24.04.5 ...Screen display offerings do not work;  comes from Gnome 
settings, I think
  In Ubuntu 24.04.5 on another machine Screen display offers only one choice 
which does not work well.
  Machines are up to date; couldn't find a tool package name or number
  Ubuntu help needs to give instructions on how to name a screen package that 
is causing the trouble.
