Title: Evolution fails to add google contacts with message "Error adding Contact" other error Status in The Evolution Mail & Calendaring Tool: Expired Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: evolution $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy evolution evolution: Installed: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I'm trying to get evolution contacts to sync with google contacts. I can create an address book in evolution and I can get all my google contacts. I can edit google contacts in evolution and those changes are sync'd with google. I can make changes in google and those changes are sync'd (eventually) with Evolution. I am not able to ADD a new google contact in Evolution. I click on New Contact, which brings up the Contact Editor window. I fill in some details (name, email) for a contact, then I click OK. I receive an error dialog box that says: "Error adding Contact" other error The contact is not added and the Contact Editor window remains open. I cannot copy contacts from other address books into the Google address book or create new contacts.
