I apologize for the many comments today. I observe something else than jammy-zhou: the bug is still there in nautilus 3.8.2 from the gnome3 ppa! I can also confirm that the same patch (on this site) fixes this for 3.8.2. It should really get fixed upstream soon..
About the "x"-cursor: This seems to be a general problem regarding window decoration. There is no window decoration on the second screen. It also means that I cannot resize/move windows easily on this screen.
