I need the dmesg, and preferrably the Xorg.log so that I can query the
EDID.

Title:
Ubuntu 11.04 Sandy Bridge Video Mode Sync Problem
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I have a new system using an ASUS mb P8H67M LX. Intel i5 CPU. Monitor
is a Visionquest.
Monitor does 1920x1200. Seems this is not available using
chipset/driver using sudo hwinfo --framebuffer. 1920x1440 is
available.
Result is monitor at 1680x1050 and Ubuntu at 1680x1200 (a guess).
This results in funky video, bottom of display missing and lock ups.
Mouse moves, but a hardware reset is required.
Setting video to 1280x1024 results in stable video but distorted
display because aspect ratio is wrong.
