For Gnome compatible environments: there's no ready-made extension at addons.mozilla.org but you can fetch the latest version from https://github.com/infinity0/mozilla-gnome-keyring or if you use Ubuntu, you can add PPA from https://launchpad.net/~fat-lobyte9/+archive/ppa- public and install package called "mozilla-gnome-keyring" which will add password integration for both Firefox and Thunderbird.
