Title:
NetworkManager requires restart when I re-dock my laptop
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Running 9.04 on my Thinkpad T61p laptop. When I re-dock it, I cannot
longer longer connect to the internet, even though both wlan0 and eth0
connections are listed as "connected" in ifconfig (i.e. I have an
ipaddress. ifdown/ifup didn't work, and networking restart didn't work
either. Restarting NetworkManager seemed to do the trick though.
Additional note: In the past, I was re-booting everytime I re-docked
my laptop in order to restore internet access. During the shut-down
process, the pc would get stuck on a black screen of death, and I'd
have to force reboot.
Thanks!
