Thanks for reporting this issue back in 2006. After reviewing the
discussion, I can see that the maintainers at the time already
identified this as a feature request rather than a software defect.
Sebastien Bacher noted "That's not really a bug" and suggested changing
the default import application when F-Spot would be ready.
Since gnome-volume-manager has been removed from Ubuntu and this is a
product design question about which application should handle photo
imports, this report is being closed as out of scope for Ubuntu
packaging.
