Public bug reported:
Keyboard layout on lock screen does not default to the primary language;
after switching to English and typing one character, the layout reverts
automatically to the previously selected language.
Steps to Reproduce
Add at least two keyboard input sources (e.g., English and another language
like Greek, Russian, or French).
Log in, open any application, and switch to the non‑English layout.
Wait for the screen to lock automatically due to inactivity (or lock it
manually with Super+L).
On the lock screen, observe that the keyboard layout indicator shows the
non‑English layout.
Manually switch the layout to English using the UI or a keyboard
shortcut.
Begin typing the first character of your password.
Actual result: After entering one character, the layout automatically
reverts to the non‑English layout. Subsequent keystrokes are typed in
that layout, causing the password to be wrong.
Expected result: Once switched to English, the layout should remain
English for the entire password entry.
