Thanks for the suggestion, Alessandro! Yes, it looks like it can be done using pam_exec.
It's still very unexpected that a feature that has been supported and documented for many years (and is still documented, https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gdm/-/blob/7aa5c1a3d73b51b9ccf89c51d33bfa53cc57d52e/docs/C/index.docbook#L1011) is removed in an LTS release without any advance notice or grace period (unless I missed something). But I think I can live with using pam_exec. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2144783 Title: PreLogin/PostSession session scripts are still needed and used in Wayland, but were dropped in X11 cleanup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/2144783/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
