Tempo Indications

Sorry to ask such a simple question, but is it possible to add a single 
tempo indication which applies to all score layouts? E.g. in a score for 
four instruments can I add a tempo mark once which appears in the full 
score as well as in the individual parts? At the moment I seem to have 
to add the same indication to each staff.
