Hello Reinhard, i'm a DeSmuME developper and Debian maintainer.
I've already created a Debian package for the 0.7.0 version. Debian packaging files are available in the CVS tree at http://desmume.cvs.sf.net . May I suggest that you use my packaging files? Or perhaps I should take care of uploading DeSmuME to Debian?
