Hi there, nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too ;-)
Oh, I already packaged DesMuMe for the debian Games team. You can find the package here: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-games/packages/trunk/desmume/?rev=0&sc=0 I actually uploaded it to ubuntu already, but didn't do so for debian yet. The main reason is that I waited for comments on my packaging and at least one ack from another member, but didn't get any feedback. I don't use DesmuME anymore, since my girlfriend bought an DS, and therefore I play now on real hardware ;) Anyway, how to proceed from here? May I suggest you look at what is currently in the debian games team svn and give me feedback about it? If you are okay with what is there, I'll just upload it to debian with the Maintainer set to the debian games team. If we do so, may I suggest you to join the debian games team so you can directly commit to our team's svn?
Done. I'm now part of the Debian Games Team. I've looked at your packaging files and would like to keep and improve your manpage but i'd rather stick with my packaging files for the rest. Why? Mostly because cdbs makes the debian/rules smaller and easier to read. Also, i noticed that your ubuntu package is missing few important files... Namely, the menu entries but more importantly the glade interface files. You mentionned that you're not using DeSmuME anymore. With your permission, i'd take over maintenance of the package. (In practice, the maintainer would still be the Debian Games Team).
