Ah, getting up to speed with current debian building practices. I have
some reading to do. :-/

Good point. I think I came across a reference to bugs.xelerance.org but
it failed to resolve. Do they keep bugs publicly? It might be solved in
the new upstream release. I can probably ask to reproduce using that.
