Well that wouldn't be first time when original name is changed for Debian distribution. There are even cases when names of binaries are being changed. Anyway... I don't care how package is named as far as `apt-cache search moc` shows me it ;) > 2. 2.1.4 doesn't play oggs on ppc. You need a patch. Michal could you please comment it? > 3. This way we can avoid situations when two (or more) people work on the same thing. Please make it this way next time. > My advice: Wait for 2.2.0, check the rules and Makefiles (We > don't want to install the examples twice) and be patient > by testing MOC on other plattforms before mention > Architecture: all in control. Michal's package doesn't install examples twice. And how are you going to check if moc can be even compiled on all architectures without mention it in control file? In fact your package has "all" so I don't understand it. > So please remove mocp from [1], and replace it with a package named > moc. That's usually developer's choice how he/she wants to call his package. And I'm not moc maintainer. I was only an uploader. > Please feel free to check my packages [3,4,5] first, as I want to > maintain the package as well (on both i386 and ppc) ;-) I only need > a mentor, maybe from grml? Grml? Anyway... Michal followed all Debian rules perfectly and that's why I've uploaded his packages. I think we should wait for his comments, and then decide what to do.
