Sure it is. As I said I wasn't maintainer of this package. I was only
a sponsor for Michal's upload. Now when he agrees to give you maintainence
then feel free to maintain it.

Don't panic. NEW queue isn't handled since last days of December so it will
take some time till this package will enter sid.
And there is always way to upload new package before that.

And all in all sid is an _unstable_ distribution. If there will be some
problems then someone will fill RC bug, and this package won't enter sarge.
