So many folders, so many files!  I quite like the monolithic configuration 
file and actually have one that I know works elsewhere so I chose that 
option when I installed.  I can't seem to `dpkg-reconfigure exim4` for 
some reason, I must have broken something somewhere.

Thanks for those two links.  I actually run SpamAssassin and Sophie from a 
Perl script hooked into local_scan, it might not be very scalable for 
large mail servers but it seems to suffice for my needs.
