Hi, I'm pretty new to Linux and especially Debian.

I installed the 3.0r2 release this morning and have spent most of the
day trying to figure out how to access the drives I have connected to my
raid card.

I really have no idea where to start. I've looked through dmesg but
couldn't find any reference to the card or the 2 drives attached to it.
I also can't find any reference to the drives in /proc and mount reports
that the devices "are not valid block devices". The drives are currently
FAT32 formatted and I've tried mounting them with

mount -t msdos /dev/hdX1 /mnt/G #where X was 'c' through 'g'

Other than that I really have no idea what commands to issue to load
drivers (if there are drivers for the Sil0680) or how to convince the
kernel to let me see what's on those drives.

Perhaps some helpful soul could point me in the right direction?

Thanks
T
