Funny you mention that. Because yesterday i posted the same message and didnt get any replies. So i thought i'd try a different approach.. aka 'debian sucks' and see if that worked. And it seems to have worked since i've gotten several replies now within an hour of posting it ;) I was hoping the debian supporters would read the email because of that line. Seems like there's no better way of really getting someones attention then insulting their chosen OS :)
anyhow, thanks for the advice from everyone.
I'll try the upgrade route through woody and see if that works.
