On a Linux system, you can use the cp command to write an image to a USB flash
drive:

sudo cp <file> <device>

Alternatively, you can use dd :

sudo dd if=<file> of=<device> bs=16M status=progress oflag=sync

First, use lsblk to identify your USB device.
Make sure that /dev/sdX refers to the whole device, not to a partition such as
/dev/sdX1.
Then run one of the commands above, replacing <device> with the device name
(for example, /dev/sdX):

sudo dd if=debian-live.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=16M status=progress oflag=sync

Please avoid UNetbootin, Ventoy, and other third-party tools, even if they are
generally considered safe.
