I don't wish to provoke folk but it's worth thinking that various tools don't read Debian bootable images well, sometimes attempt to unpack them and generally cause obscure bugs that are hard to solve. I'm part of the Debian images testing team: there's a reason that we often suggest using dd or Rufus in dd mode - these have been shown to work over a long period. Everyone's experience varies, of course. Although Ventoy may be very useful, it may not be the best way to install Debian if you want something debugged. There's also a reason why the Monthly FAQ asks people to be *really* specific as to what they are trying to install, on what hardware and what messages they see. "Please help by providing useful details if asked, especially which version of Debian you are running" > Otherwise, the statement remains as it appears - gratuitously malignant. > With every good wish to all, as ever, Andrew Cater [[email protected]] > .. > Bret Busby > Armadale > West Australia > (UTC+0800) > .............. >
