My take is that it is (and has always been) surveillance capitalism's wet dream. They paint themselves as "We vs Bureaucracy (aka The State)", but they *always* have been in bed with state. Since the 2000s, when this mess took off (if you count Oracle, since longer, mind you). Cheers -- t
