Hi COMCAST, Debian is unlike Ubuntu - there is no .iso spin per desktop - so nothing like Xubuntu. The DVD should allow you to install xfce without access to a network. Uncheck / deselect Debian desktop environment and GNOME when you get the chance to install desktops. Check XFCE. You can also do this from the netinst, obviously but that will require network access. The Debian live CDs also include an xfce spin but installing from there will be slightly different - you can either use the text/graphical installer or use Calamares once the medium is booted. Installing from a live CD does leave some slightly different software on the hard disk/NVME. Hope this helps, All the very best, as ever, Andrew Cater ([email protected]) >
