Been hosting on debian bookworm and clean installed Trixie
6.12.57+deb13-amd64 with GNOME 48. I love debian and its freedom. The
installation was flawless and the UI is super nice, on par with MacOS
with pop and bling. One of the things that bit me in Windows was
Windows updates. Previously in debian I had full control over
notifications about sw updates and updating sw itself, it never
interrupted.

GNOME keeps telling me in Trixie through Notifications front and center
on the screen that I need to install updates or there are updates. In
the Software app the updates are set to manual. Then I tried toggling
automatic, closing the app and toggling back to manual thinking maybe
there is a bug where it doesn't respect Manual, but that wasn't the
case.

How can I disable update notifications or remove the update
notification which includes the GNOME Software app if necessary?
