Hello,
hope you had a good festival at your national Day.
Regarding your question for the closest resemblance.
In my opinion and according my comparison between my privat computer
(Debian Trixie) and my business computer (I'm forced to use Windows 11
here) the closest from point of view of appearance is
* KDE
* Cinnamon
* Xfce
But under the hood the differences are big.
The most supporting features (e.g. GUI-software for configurations)
exists in KDE and Cinnamon.
My personell work horse is XFCE. But I wouldn't recommend it for newbies.
Also I wouldn't recommend pur Debian for newbies either. In my
experience pur Debian is extremely stable but needs some experiences.
From this point of view I would recommend Linux Mint (with Cinnamon) or
an Ubuntu flavour (e.g. Kubuntu for KDE). According to my information
from my internet "bubble" Mint is for newbies one of the best choices at
the moment.
Mint is a second row descendant of Debian. It's derived from Ubuntu
which itself come from Debian.
But if you can wait a couple of weeks you can try a further Mint flavour
derived directly from Debian. The Mint team just work on a version
called LMDE 7 which try to bypass the Ubuntu step.

May I know which desktop environment is the closest resemblance to Windows 10
or 11?
By the way, Debian 13 Trixie was released on Singapore's Independence Day /
National Day on 9 August 2025.
Thank you.
