Hi everybody,
The issue is that when the monitor goes in standby, I press a key to
exit locked screen and plasmashell doesn't work anymore.
My systems work fine. Have you installed all the latest updates and
rebooted?
It's a fresh Trixie installation from scratch, I chose "Expert install"
menu entry and installed a base system then installed a my customized
list of packages.
Do your systems run Xorg instead of Wayland and they have "nouveau" as
GPU driver?
In the meantime I will try Debian 13 KDE live to check for a
configuration issue. Thanks anyway!
I tried the Live image, I can't reproduce the issue because, although
many settings I tried, the monitor never goes in standby. The LED light
of the monitor never become yellow so I can't verify whether
"plasmashell" it crashes when exiting from a locked screen with dpms active.
I notice that the Live runs Wayland server, but neither the
"kscreen-doctor --dpms off" command it works, the screen became black
but the power status of the monitor stays on (LED light white).
Maybe a solution is to run a script when exiting dpms mode, is it
possible to trigger this event in Xorg? Does anybody know if it is
possible? I don't want to migrate to Wayland.
Kind regards
