AFAICT for debian-user, the envelope address that you used is in the Old-Return-Path: header. It's where your bounced mails will be sent. The OP's looks the same as the From: address: →Old-Return-Path: <r...@cegetel.net> →From: rudu <r...@cegetel.net> How it's shown is different for different lists: some will quote the envelope-from, and even the HELO, that's used at different steps along the way. I especially like: helo=antelope.elm.relay.mailchannels.net helo=bonobo.aspen.relay.mailchannels.net helo=camel.birch.relay.mailchannels.net helo=dormouse.elm.relay.mailchannels.net helo=iguana.tulip.relay.mailchannels.net helo=snail.cherry.relay.mailchannels.net etc., but not when the snail takes four hours to relay the fruits of my labour to the list.
