I would dispute your claim that email is the only form of social
networking that has positive value.

Nevertheless, let us say you are 100% correct. My point remains that
Debian will not be convincing people of that. You can go where the users
are, or you can stay where the users aren't.

It's all very well sticking with what we know and love, and I will, but
the numbers are going to continue to dwindle.

Twice this year I have had to join a Discord to get support for an open
source piece of software. Can we do better than Discord or are we going
to ignore everything that's not email until we all have to be on
Discord?

(Do not confuse "Discord" with "Discourse". I really like Discourse, and
that one is open source. Ubuntu user may be familiar with it.)
