Hi,

Is it possible to install Debian on a VERY VERY OLD hardware? If so, what "image" should I use?

Hardware spec:

CPU: Intel Celeron 400MHz
RAM: 32MB
HDD: 6GB
BIOS year: 1998
CD-ROM, FDD 1,4MB, RS-232, 1x USB 2.0

A couple years ago I successfully booted an old system on Debian Squeeze with a CD, I used XFCE

sorry, I don't recall how much ram it had, I thought something near 300MB

My smallest IDE HDD I had was 250GB so I used that.

The CPU was an AMD K6-400

It was so slow I got frustrated and threw it out. Sometimes I wish I'd kept it. Someday I will get another one ;)

Rafal
