Yes, there's a reload button.

Apparently I was extremely lucky and tried to update my laptop while
[the debian repository??] was in flux.
I re-ran synaptic and got lots of things that needed updating -- as
well as finding and being able to install idle-python 3.11.2-6+deb12u5
