There isn't any executable: that isn't how flatpak works. There's no
need for you to deal directly with anything under /var/lib/flatpak. To
run prusa-slicer type "flatpak run com.prusa3d.PrusaSlicer". I suggest
making a script named prusa-slicer that executes that command and
putting it in /usr/local/bin.
Most users will launch GUI Flatpak programs from the desktop environment
shell rather than the command line. For instance, in GNOME, you can
press the "Windows" key, type the program's name, and hit Enter. And
it's just the simple name (PrusaSlicer in this case, I suppose), not the
full FQDN package name.

the flatpak installed version never showed up in th xfce4 menu's. I did an sudo updatedb, then sent locate to look for it, cd'd to the /var/lib/flatpak directory, did an ls -r on what was a nearly empty directory, got many screens full of filenames. added a |wc -l and got 448xx file names. So I removed that flatpak, which left it all behind so I fired up a root session of mc and removed the whole flatpak subdir from /var/lib. Then I had apt purge flatpak. Now I wait for trixie in thhe hope that I can convince it to NOT install brltty and orca just because the ONLY usb socket is occupied by a logitek wireless mouse button. They are not removable/purgeable w/o screwing up the system, leaving a 30 second total freeze anytime I want to open a file I own.

digiKam won't wait so it errors out, shotwell and gimp will wait. Slicers in general spit out several screens full of gtk2 related errors at the beginning of that 30 second freeze, which i've posted at least twice and they've been ignored by all.  They appear to run normally once the 30 second freeze has expired.

I've reinstalled 30+ times, because it wasn't rebootable once I'd killed orca, but now I'd have to reinvent several gigabytes of OpenSCAD work but I have since been told the live cd doesn't do that. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, hoping I can do an in-place upgrade which will correct this if and when trixie is released.

After my disaster with bookworm, the other of the drives that died in under 2 weeks spin time and started this fuster cluck, was my amanda storage, so I need to use this machine to save the /home/me/linuxcnc tree from each of my cnc'd machines. So eventually they get trixie in place of wheezy and they are all working BEFORE I load trixie on this box. Linuxcnc is 95% python, and the python2 to python3 conversion is now fairly complete.

So there you have it,  hopefully the trixie installer can tell the diff between a mouses rx button and a serial adapter, I do not own a ps2 wired mouse and Wally doesn't carry such an elderly mouse.

.
