This is very interesting. I didn't know about this, although I knew
about app images. I am using the mate desktop but I was still able to
install gnome-software.

I did this.

Installed gnome-software.

It failed here saying that it was not compatible. Also searching for
choqok in gnome-software didn't find it.

Does it bring its own libraries with it? Maybe it requres something from
debian 11?
