Hi Richmond,

Goodness, why? Upgrading to Debian 11 is mentioned in this list fairly often
and is probably more straightforward than building random code from github.
 or from source yourself.

If packagers are prepared to update and maintain packages for you that work
with the current Debian stable, consider using them.

Building random code from random places on the Internet for fun is fine the 
first few times but may not always work and may cause further problems you
then need to solve.. Above all, the advice at 
https://wiki.debian.org/DontBreakDebian remains very relevant.
