I would rather compare it to NixOS which is in use at production level. At least I know some people using it in a professional hosting environment. I never used it myself. But I play around with the package manager guix on one of my computers. It seems to be a good way to use new versions of programs on a stable Debian system. It needs additional disk space but up to now I had no problems with the environment settings that are used to set the pathes to the guix environment. juh
