Also, I would suggest the evaluation period is more likely to be three
months than three years.

MS licensing is always fun. I believe the current version of Windows
Server Essentials, the successor to Small Business Server, no longer
needs CALs, but has a strict limit on the number of users. The OP
should investigate this.

Oddly, Exchange has moved away from the all-GUI interface, and now needs
the use of the command line for many common functions. If the OP was
familiar with an old Exchange, he may have some re-learning to do.
