Recently I upgraded my laptop (a Lenovo T410) from Jessie to Stretch. I almost have everything working again, but something puzzling (and irritating) has happened to slrn. All the colours have been softened; it's as if everything has been replaced with pastels. Even white text on a black background has faded - it's now light gray text on a dark gray background. When I go to post or reply to a message, vim comes up and the screen snaps back to a crisp black and white, only to revert to washed-out colours when I return to slrn. Everything else (e.g. console windows) is OK - it's just slrn which is affected.
My .slrnrc is unchanged. What has happened to my colours?
