xorriso already added an isohybrid MBR to the ISO. But you
may beef up your genisoimage ISO if you use the same SYSLINUX
version as debian-cd does.

says:
ISOLINUX 4.05 20121210
So i guess it is SYSLINUX 4.05 which you would to have to install.
