Everything regarding networking and wireless is enabled on the BIOS. That "built in user's guide" seems to be for Windows only. The PDFs available for the X40 on another section of the website were also for Windows. Nevertheless I did the analogue steps for Linux - basically verifying if things are on or off - and it changed nothing.
