It's not really useable for me at home on a dial-up connection with a browser with JavaScript intentionally disabled.



Is there no Internet access for your Debian machine?

I'm not enthusiastic about doing full install over a dial-up line. More seriously, I'm considering installs on some machines with a specification that they not be able to network. If no one gives me a reference to a straight text page, I can make a trip to local library and use one of their machines.

If you
could connect it to the Internet, I strongly recommend not
to use the DVDs, but to install from the web.

I assume that's primarily about updates or security concerns. But that is not critical as the machine will not be connected to the internet and for that individual machine I'm the only one with physical access.
