Pointer indeed thanks! So I have adequte video using the intel now. Here is what I ended up doing to get it to work. - compiled a 3.6 kernel using fakeroot. I ensured I build the image and header kernel debs - installed compat-3.6-rc5-c - configured /etc/modprobe.d/i916-kms.conf to have the contents options i915 modeset=1 Following the above I now have intel i915 working fine at 1920x1080 and my ALX ethernet card working. I still can't use the nvidia card, but I think these features will come with time. Patience... :-) Thanks Lee! --julian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
